Meditation is a very personal practice and cannot be forced. It will invoke very different meanings and experiences for everyone and some people will find it extremely challenging while others will just ease into it. In today’s hectic stressful society we all need something to help us cope with our daily lives and meditation is a wonderful way. Unfortunately to many people, just the mention of the word ~ MEDITATION is intimating.

Here is what I try to help my students understand and achieve:
One does not need to lock yourself away in a quite ‘special’ place – sitting motionless in a position that will be extremely uncomfortable, while making the mind scream for help and the body instantly rebel.

Meditation can be done while you are washing up the evening dinner plates; cutting the lawn; or simply while walking the dog!

Yes, with practice and guidance the more meditation you do, the more you will start to feel the need to work towards being able to sit quietly still, and Just Be! This might never happen, but the joy of trying is ALWAYS well worth it!

Some words to help you on your meditation path…

Happiness is a state of mind, therefore the real source of happiness lies within.

The purpose of meditation is to cultivate those states of mind that are conducive to peace and well-being, and to eradicate those that aren’t.
